Like my work with social media ads at Beachbody, I made web icons when my content management workload was light. This allowed for quicker turnaround than going through the creative department while providing the same quality of work as them.
Though web icons seem like simple assets, they take a bit more thought than you’d expect. Brand guidelines need to be meet; video frames need to be selected; text needs to be visible on smaller real estate; buttons need to be enticing. Making them can be fun brain teasers for design nerds.
